The Chairman

Businessman and farmer. He is the younger son of the late Elsie Bertram, founder of the Trust, and has had Type 1 diabetes since 1967.

Kip Bertram
Trustee

Elder son of Elsie Bertram and has had Type 1 diabetes since 1959.

Dr Ketan Dhatariya
Diabetes Consultant

Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital since 2004.

Margaret Flatman
Honorary Secretary

Type 1 Diabetic since 1949. 1989-2008 Eye Screening Manager at the NNUH NHS Trust. Trusttee of The Norfolk Diabetes Trust since 1998.

Dr Richard Greenwood
President & Co-Founder

A retired Consultant Diabetologist at The Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. He previously chaired The Norfolk Diabetes Appeal and The Norwich & Norfolk Diabetes Trust from 1987 to 2010.

Dr Martin Hadley-Brown
Medical Advisor

GP in Thetford who worked in the Elsie Bertram Diabetes Centre from 1997 to 2005 and so has both hospital and community experience in treating people with diabetes.

Trustee

Solicitor with Norfolk Law Firm Hansells, specialising in Charity Law.

Prof. Mike Sampson
Diabetes Consultant

Consultant Diabetologist at the Elsie Bertram Diabetes Centre in Norwich since 1994 and has been a member of The Norfolk Diabetes Trust and its predecessor since 1994.

Kieran John
Trustee

Kieran is a Trainee Solicitor at Howes Percival LLP, and has had type 1 diabetes for over 20 years.
